I'm taking a vacation day today.

I'm taking Zoloft for PPD, and I have to see this doctor for 15 minutes once a month for a checkup. He doesn't have night hours, the best I can do is 5 or 5:30. This was fine when I was working from home, but that's over now. (It's very political and I doubt I will be able to do it even on occasion for a while now...grr.) So I was going to just leave NYC early (boss was ok with that), but decided to take the day off (I had 16 vacation days and no plans for them). I need to do other stuff like balance my checkbook which I never get to do (wiped at night, busy on weekends), so Alan's in daycare and I'm home.

Now to get off the computer and start getting organized!

Eating Out

We went with a friend to a Chinese buffet tonight.
We tried to find something for Alan to eat.
He didn't like mashed potatoes.
He didn't like mashed up bannans (they had a little jello on them and were sort of hard).
He REALLY didn't like the rice pudding.
He was so-so on the inside ricotta from a stuffed shell.
He seemed to prefer the Gerber peaches I brought. And he'd eat a Rice Chex if I put it in his mouth, or crunch them with his hands -- he hasn't figured out how to eat them.

But he was pretty well behaved even if he doesn't like the food yet.

1) do you think NJ drivers or NY drivers are worse and why? (hehehe..i
have my own opinion on this one, but want to see what you say)

Probably NYC drivers. I rarely drive in NYC, but it is NOT easy driving there.

2) what are some things about motherhood that you didn't expect, are
dealing with it, but it stinks anyways?

The fact that he needs a lot of attention because he can't do much sometimes.

3) when your child asks you for the first time about death - how are you
going to handle that?

No clue. Alan hasn't figured out how to talk yet.

4) what cassette/cd is currently in your car, ready to push in and play?

None actually as I don't get a chance to listen to music much in the car - I've used the cassette for longer trips. The FM stations on my presets are however, WPLJ (adult), Z-100 (top 40), WCBS-FM (oldies), WKTU (dance/disco) and Q104 (classic rock).

5) here's 500 bucks. what will you spend it on? ;)

Probably clothes (and probably for Alan or toys for him or books...)
