I want a house!

I really want to move out of our 2 bedroom condo. But DH keeps looking at it as investment and thinks houses are overpriced and they will lose value. So we keep looking - it doesn't help that we live in (and aren't moving) in one of the most expensive housing areas - Bergen County..our less than 1000 sq feet condo would currently sell for over 200K and it could use cosmetic work.

I guess I'm a little envious of dstroy, ginky and magnummom who are in the house hunting/buying process right now :(

1. What's one thing you've always wanted to do, but never have?
Goto Australia/New Zealand.

2. When someone asks your opinion about a new haircut/outfit/etc, are you always honest?
Usually

3. Have you ever found out something about a friend and then wished you hadn't? What happened?
I found out a friend was adopted from his ex-girlfriend. Feels weird sometimes to know a secret like that.

4. If you could live in any fictional world (from a book/movie/game/etc.) which would it be and why?
Not necessarilly fictional, but would have loved to been older in the late 1960's (I was alive then, but a very little girl.) Fictionally, probably Star Trek (the TNG/DS9/Voyager timeline).

5. What's one talent/skill you don't have but always wanted?
I wish I could play music. I think my musical talent is to be in the audience.

He's Crawling

Alan crawled tonight. My MIL and SIL were over and after a long session in
the exersaucer I put him on the floor. We all saw him crawl a tiny bit to
reach for a toy. (He loves the rings of his stacking toy, doesn't stack them
yet). Time to get gates!

I had him on the bed tonight. For some reason he thought if I stuck my head
between his legs (I was sitting on the floor facing the bed) and tickled
him it was the funniest thing ever - got some real loud laughs!
