Moxie

Some people worry that Moxie will miss his sister Inky. I don't think so.
Last night he was meowing outside the bathroom she's closed in. DH and I thought - he misses his sister, I'll let him in for a visit. I opened the door and he made a beeline for...

her dish of canned food! The way to Moxie's heart is through his stomach!

Also, he yet again his patience. Before I got home last night DH, Alan and Moxie were sitting on the couch. According to DH Moxie was licking/sniffing Alan's feet when Alan hit Moxie on either side of the head. Moxie had a bemused look on his face, but didn't get upset!

(I think Alan thinks Moxie's a toy...)

Ramblings

Last night I gave Alan chickpeas for dinner. Like the other babies on the "Oct02" baby list, he liked them. Or at least the ones that made it to his mouth!

My MIL came over last night. I liked that, someone could watch him while I put laundry away - I don't get to do it often as Alan sleeps in OUR bedroom so I can't do it after he goes to bed.

She brought us a sweatshirt Alan's great uncle bought from Alaska. It is a size 5 - it will fit in a few years! Better too big than too small. Somone gave us a 6-9 month short set. At that point it would have fit him for one more week. And of course the weather didn't cooperate that week!

Has anyone tried vanilla diet pepsi? I did. It tastes just like a cola slurpee or cola italian ice (sweet). I'd have it again.

This morning I noticed a large pile of stuff behind one of the dumpsters at our condo. I had to stop. There was a over the toilet shelf, an apple computer, a large TV, 2 plastic shoe racks for the closet (took those) a snow shovel, and a cardboard box and plastic container full of kids toys and small books. I took those also. They looked to be in good shape, some had a name on them in magic marker some needed batteries, but I think I could disinfect them for Alan - at home, in the car, at daycare, at grandmas - somewhere.

Clothes

My mother in law told me last night the church in her town is NOT doing the clothing swap again. Drat - I got a lot of stuff for Alan, and in return swaped one girls onesie and some $. I was hoping to get more stuff in trade this year.

So I have to figure out what to do with his outgrown stuff:

- There is some to keep for sentimental reasons
- There is some good stuff (a lot of gymboree) to keep for a possible #2.
- There is icky stuff for donations or trash.
- But there is some stuff in the middle - I didn't like them (like booties and hats or gowns), but I'd rather not donate them to charity (this was what I planned to swap). So they might be headed to eBay (perhaps in lots) or if I can find someone who can use the clothes.
