He's getting closer to walking. My husband saw him take 1 step, the sitter 3, I saw him step sideways in the crib and I think he took a step tonight between the couch and coffee table.
I tried to get some baby proofing stuff today. I'd read about a baby having an accident with a toilet, so I wanted to secure our second bathroom (the door has to be open because we have the litter box in it). So I went to buy buy baby at lunch. I got a toilet lid lock, a tv guard, plastic stops for the doors and a thing to keep the door from slamming.
I had no luck with anything. The tv guard is missing pieces in the box and won't fit anyway (its a plexiglass sheild for tv controls), the toilet lid lock doesn't seem to be right (I think it was also returned) and the door guards don't fit. At least the doorstops worked.
I'll check somewhere else for babyproofing stuff. I just don't want Alan closing himself in that bathroom and getting in trouble.
And tommorrow Am is crazy. My thyroid appointment is 10. His 15 month checkup (a block away) is at 10:30. Normally I wouldn't do this but my insurance changes again as of 2/1 and everything would have to wait 2-3 weeks. So I'll get to the thyroid appointment early (its the results of the biopsy, I hope all is well) and also call the pediatrician and see if I can be a little late. Sigh. And Mark has to do work so he can't come. I'll manage somehow. If I make it, I'll go to gymboree afterwards (got to have some incentive!)
