Really cool animation exhibit touring the country

This is at OMSI in Oregon now and will be at the Franklin Institute in June and at COSI (for my Ohio friends) in the fall.

Random Daycare Notes

Got a note from Alan’s daycare yesterday. They’ve not had luck with finding a Tuesday lunch that the children like. They tried chicken and rice, grilled cheese sandwiches, pasta with meat sauce and plain pasta with butter. So now they will serve pizza two days a week. Alan likes pizza and I don’t mind (it’s from a local pizza place and we’ve eaten it ourselves). I wrote a note back saying I didn’t mind, but didn’t like the hotdogs, as I don’t know what kind they are (we prefer kosher or all beef). I kind of wish they’d make healthier food overall though.

The international food festival is coming up again at daycare. Last year I made noodle pudding. This year I’ll try anything that I can make the night before and is easy to make. I think they got a new working stove with an oven so reheating will be easier. But I am looking for any interesting toddler/preschool friendly recipes to try. (I’m actually set for the next holiday Valentines Day – I already bought paper goods!)
