Sick, again

Alan and I both have colds.

Nothing too exciting this weekend. I did hook up the DVD burner in Mark's computer (yeah). Now he can play DVD's.

But the DVD/VCR died again. Daweoo doesn't make good ones - this one is doing what the other one did - freeze up and then get confused loading discs. I suspect will try a different one after yelling at Daewoo.

Tommorrow we need to help friends clean out tons of junk from an apartment as they've been evicted. Should be interesting - they are geeky packrates. Alan's staying home as it's too messy. I might wind up selling stuff on eBay for them to help them out.

Sunday night

On Mark's computer again as he's gone to bed early with Alan. Me, I'm going to get the laundry when this is posted.

Alan stayed with my MIL today while we helped our friends out with apartment cleaning. We'd pictured it being full of computer stuff, but it turned out to be just full of junk of all kinds. He's been there nearly 20 years, it's an old sanitorium (huge house) turned into 9(!) apartments. If it was clean, it would be a neat apartment actually (lots of light in the living room). Anyway, trash was carted out, storage secured and a small load taken over. I brought back some stuff to sell for them on eBay (mostly Cherished Teddies and some trek stuff and some Mac OS 7 diskettes). She is into costuming but that's hard for me to sell as I don't know the terms for the renaissance clothing (and she's good at it).

Still got a cold and now I start my first 5 day week of the year. But it might snow tommorrow. At least Alan's head scrape is healing nicely, he's looking much better and talking a lot - he was in a much better mood (even with no nap) than yesterday.
