Overindulging children an interesting read

I think for a 22 month old Alan is pretty good. Other than food, he doesn't ask for many things. If I give him a stuffed animal or a toy in a store, he usually hands it back or tosses it back!

I remember the one time I gave into a child's whim in the store. It was near Christmas, and Jacob was almost 2, and there were these big white stuffed bears on display. He grabbed one, held it, and there was clearly no letting go. I didn't even try, I bought the thing for him, though it was on the pricey side.

You know, he still has that thing today, at age 10 1/2, and he still sleeps with it.

I agree about the not-spoiling-yer-kids thing; spoiled brats have a really rough time when they grow up. I'm just having a memory here, ignore me. ;-D
