My ultrasound went well today. It looks like they saw the same 2 spots that had been observed in August and they were nothing. They spent more time looking at my left than my right - the right one, the head doctor said was intramuscular post surgical and she saw an article on that. I'll get the actual report next week from Dr. Tuttle, but I'm glad I'm done for now.

It must be hard to read ultrasounds (especially non baby ones). I definitely saw a lump on the monitor when I was able to look that way - but for all I know it could have been some other internal thing entirely. The only thing I can understand are my dental x-rays - the teeth are pretty distinct!

Alan seems to be coming down with a cold. And of course it will snow this weekend. Yet another missed snow day opportunity - at first he was too little, then he kept getting colds.

I may have to take my SIL to the DMV so WE can renew our licenses. Hers expired in the fall, but she doesn't drive (she's afraid to). So I guess it being expired isn't bad for ID purposes - but we both need a renewal and she doesn't want to go alone. I'll be glad to have a photo license - I lost my original NJ photo one a while back, and the duplicate (as the older NJ licenses did) has no photo. Airports that see a lot of NJ licenses understand the no photo - but I'm not sure everywhere in the US does these days.

One more work day - yeah.

We are reallllly having issues with bedtime routine here, too, and it's totally our fault for not doing the same thing every night. Part of that is because of the ongoing moving process, but still. Ugh.

And yaaaay on all the medical results!! We're wondering how long Alex will have to be on Synthroid to get his thyroid back to normal after a year on lithium, which has been discontinued.

For years while we were in the military (well Mark was), I had a PA license with no photo. Hated when I finally had to give that up and get a Washington license. I really got tired of explaining why there was no picture and would they like to see my military id which does have a picture? How about the Costco card (people have taken that!).

Glad your scans are ok. Unless Alan is really whiny with the cold, bundle him up and let him outside to play. Won't make him any sicker and he might forget that he is sick.

Hurray on the ultrasound results!

I can't believe NJ is still so pigheaded about driver's licenses. I remember when NJ had *no* DL photos (and I'll bet [livejournal.com profile] theodosia does too, even though she's not a drinker). Believe me, college students in Massachusetts took advantage of this.

But, geez, in this post-9/11 age, everyone needs a photo on their driver's license. And your SIL needs to get hers renewed, because eventually people are going to stop accepting the license as proper ID.

She will get the license renewed - we'll probably go next weekend with the snow forecast for Saturday. Weird how she has a license and won't drive on it - many people drive on licenses when they shouldn't.

Growing up in NY, we had no photo licenses - I do remember people doctoring licenses (or copies) to change the year of birth to be old enough to drink (18 back then). I realized I could borrow my mom's license (on description), but a birthyear of 1930 wouldn't work!
