Cultural Differences

lesliepearI was watching Nickelodeon with Alan this AM. I noticed they had new Ninja Turtle toys out - I mentioned it to my husband...and I said Guess Why - because all the children who grew up with them are parents now (more or less the 80's generation).
Mark and I grew up in the late 1960's/1970's and the toys etc from our childhood are different. We've been showing Alan some of our childhood stuff recently - he's watched Wacky Races/Dasterdly and Muttley (late 60's cartoons), the Flinstones and Jetsons (which used to be on ALL the time it seemed). He also saw some Pink Panther cartoons the other day and this afternoon watched some of a Billy Joel concert video.
I wonder if it will be good or bad that he'll know more of our childhood stuff than the childhood stuff of his classmates.
