After having an awful time with Alan and shoes - he won't try them on at all - I decided to check out an old-time shoe store in the next town that advertised in the parent paper. We were the only customers at the time which was good. I ended up with a light up pair of velcro tennis shoes in size 10 Medium (Alan seemed to like them, but I would have never picked at 10, they run big) and water sandals in size 11. (and a pair of good sandals from clearance for me). Prices seemed to be in-line with the mall store - 44 for the sneakers but 24 for the sandals.

I do think he runs better in the sneakers. And the lights aren't that bad (I don't like light up shoes usually).

He even got a balloon, which unfortunately decided to escape at our next stop at Target :(

We don't ususally do the light up shoe thing either but they were the only ones that fit Hannah's wide feet so we bought them. She loves them and Jeff thinks it is cool because he can find her in the dark. We need to get Peter a new pair of shoes and water shoes as well as new sneakers and sandals for Hannah. Probably water shoes too. It never ends....

Yay for new shoes! Alie doesn't care for trying on shoes, but she will do it if she HAS to. I just bought her some tap shoes today!
