My letter is "J"
1. Junk - What I like to find at flea markets - other people's junk can be fun to look at!
2. Jury - It was fullfilling my obligation to be on a jury that kept me in NJ on 9/11 and not in the former Deutsche Bank building next to the WTC.
3. Jersey - The state I live in. Good things happened here - meeting Mark and having Alan. It also "obligies" you to like Bruce (Springsteen) and Bon Jovi (or if over a certain age, Frank Sinatra!)
4. Jerk - My ex. Nothing else to say.
5. Jordan - the name of a good male friend of Mark's and my cousin's daughter. I can still hear my late grandmother saying "I hate the name" - to me, not to my cousin though!)
6. Jetty - the long path of docks that goes out into the water from a beach. It reminds me of my dad who loved to fish from them. I hope to teach Alan to salt water fish someday, since he won't have a chance to learn from my dad. Fishing runs in our family (along with the love of pickles!)
7. Jumble - the word puzzle my mom liked to do in the Daily news. Also a description of the contents of many of our closets at home.
8. Jail - I pass the Bergen County jail a lot on my way to my MILs (among other places). It's a place I hope never to visit or know anyone in!
9. Judiasm - my religion and culture. I'm more culturally Jewish than religous, but can't imagine being anything else.
10. Jazz - I think of big band jazz when I see this word. My dad loved big band jazz - he had some old 78's which alas my mom broke in a temper tantrum. I used to get stuck listening to big band music on WHLI-AM (the music of your life) in the car on the radio growing up on Long Island. I wonder if Alan will think the same of listening to classic rock on Q-104.

My letter is B
1. Babies. I love my two babies (Hannah and Peter) more than I ever thought possible.
2. Bagels. mmmmmm nothing like a true NY bagel. Crispy and golden on the outside yet soft and doughy on the inside. Especially good with soft creamy butter.
3. Bon Jovi. C'mon what self respecting Jersey Girl doesn't love him? Besides his amazing voice and songwriting skills he isn't too hard on the eyes.
4. breakfast. My mom always said it was the most important meal of the day.
5. brother. This word is a tough one for me. I have an older brother but as some of you know, he abused the crap out of me for many years as I was growing up. Honestly, I think that I hate him. On the other hand it is also the word that describes Peter in relationship to Hannah and it is one of my biggest worries in life that he too will act the way that my brother did and hurt her.
6. books. I ♥ love to read. Mystery, science fiction, thrillers, romance, nonfiction...doesn't really matter much to me except that I am not fond of graphic novels. For some reason they tend to make me dizzy.
7. beer. I actually like the taste of beer. These days one or two is my limit if that. I get full. I particularly like ambers, pale ales and belgian whites.
8. Botswana. Reminds me of a friend from college and the good times we had together. Somehow when we were drunk one night we were talking about the way that rumors get started and she decided to start one that I was pregnant by the king of Botswana. I had never heard of the country and thought she made it up.
9. bible. On my never ending list of books to read is to read the entire Tanakh: A New Translation of the Holy Scriptures. This is one of the definitive translations.
10. bargains. what I like to find when shopping.

Tea - something I never thought I'd drink, but amazingly enough I picked up the habbit about 2 years ago and am quite happy with it. I still don't do it regularly, and I never drink coffee and only soda rarely. I'm a water kinda gurl. I also love milk.
Tikes! (does that count?) as in Little....my collection is reaching gargantuan proportions....!
Turtle - as in Girl (or Turtlina, or that's just Turtleriffic!) the almost constant nickmane of one of my close IRL friends (also commonly referred to as The Kim.
Teacher - yup, that's me, Montessori, Birth to Three (a veritable font of information should you ever need)
--now let me go back and count how many that was...
Okay, two more:
Tetris - I never ever have time to play, but I don't enjoy video games much and if I do have the opportunity it's that or Wheel of Fortune.
Tricycle - I've been after my (ex) SIL to give my Carolina's red/yellow/green Kettler trike when she's done with it.

#3, I had no idea! I always think you are from/in New York (you may have corrected me on that before even)
I have always wondered what a #6 is, like when I come across it in novels or something...I'm often just too darn lazy to Google words!
is a #7 like a word find? where the letters are all mixed up and you circle words? I love those!!
I can also appreciate some good #10, wish I knew more about the artists that I liked though, I can't really converse intelligently about any of the albums or instruments or anything....(heh, I said albums...what is it nowadays? just call each song a 'track'?!!)
