lesliepear | Day after Halloween

Just a quick recap of the day's events:

Dropped Alan at daycare.
Came back to do some work.
10 AM was the Halloween Parade at daycare. Nice day, but as soon as Alan saw me, he wanted to stay with me. So he and I walked around together and I didn't get too many photos.

Then around 12:35 I headed off to the public school parade - stopped at the library on the way to drop off/pickup stuff. Lots of kids were in this parade - it was the pre-k through 1 grades at first. Stayed with a mom I knew from the daycare. Alan didn't run off when he saw me because his teacher held him. After his class went in, I left - although I'm sure the rest of the school was cute - I had work to do.

5 PM got Alan from daycare. We went to the Bergen Mall (soon to be Bergen Town Center after a remodel starting in 2007). This mall is pretty empty and small, but they were doing trick or treat. So we got candy - Alan didn't put back on his Thomas costume but just wore the clothes he had on which were Thomas themed (a sweatshirt and engineer pants). I tried to get Alan some Nathan's fries for a snack, but I ended up eating them. Then we stopped at Target on the way home and I exchanged a hat I'd gotten him in the wrong size.

So it was a small Halloween, but he could handle it. And we didn't find the Thomas hat alas. If I'd had known it would be so nice out we'd done trick or treat near his old sitters house - maybe next year.

At least there wasn't much candy to hide from the goodie bags and the trick or treating.

This morning I have to dress him for picture day. Time for the fancy Gymboree! (They do good photos at the daycare). Got to run.
