Family facing foreclosure saved by friend's LJ blogging

Does anyone know the LJ blog that did this? Can't seem to find anything searching on the names :(

I wonder if the username is why they didn't link to it online?

Not just her username...did you read through her journal? WOW. Is all I can say.

Wow. I didn't even read much of the blog, just noticed the "FUCKING WHITE PEOPLE" all over it. Gosh, hate much?

And I find it hard to muster up sympathy for a couple who manages to end up with another kid on the way when there's NO source of income. Brilliant planning there. It's nice that they got to keep the house and all. But I've never been about helping those who dig themselves deeper (two cars on one income from a job he hadn't even been at very long doesn't seem like very good planning either).

Or maybe I'm just bitter because I'm going to have to take buses for three hours to get to work tonight, and then spend another hour hobbling the quarter mile from the bus stop to the building on crutches, probably in the rain. All without a coat. So, yeah. Not in the most sympathetic of moods.

Yea, she very much looks at race with bitterness. Her husband is white and she finds offence at people telling her they'd have beautiful kids. Because that must mean there is something wrong with a person of only one race.

She's also into BMSD or whatever it's called. She's married, is dating another couple, and has a (human) puppy. And for all the sick things I've unwanted-ly learned about sexuality, I have not heard about that one and plan to research it a little.

There is one nice entry about a party she went to where, when the cops came, she was naked wearing only a black strap on.

I would NEVER give her a cent, and yea, for her friends in their situation I totally agree with you. But more because I'm bitter we have two kids and live in a one bedroom apartment (I had a good job when I got pregnant and we'd planned out how to move out of here over the course of the 9 months and then they laid me off and set us back indefinitely)

And see, that's an entirely different situation than getting knocked up after your hubby's already lost his job.

We considered kids, but we recognize that we're both entirely too irresponsible to care for them properly (we'd do the parenting thing pretty well, I think, but the food and shelter part might be tricky), and we have no desire to completely alter our lifestyles to accommodate children. I think that's actually true about a lot of people, which is why you get kids at younger and younger ages (think 7-10) getting into the kinds of trouble that we didn't hit until our late teens at the earliest.

Yea, I wish more people would take more consideration into preventing pregnancy. Sure I got pregnant at 18, but I completely changed my perspective to be an actual GOOD parent. I mean, I didn't even DATE until he was 2. And my husband and I, we do everything for our kids and our families, there's the support when things get really bad. Of course, no matter how bad they've gotten, we've always had a place to live, didn't need strangers hearing our sop story to give us money to dig us out of the hole. We're digging ourselves out of that hole. Something tells me $10K won't dig them out.
