Updates and rambles

Haven't posted much content lately - had some stress at work due to project management paperwork but basically it all resolved to constructive critism from a manager and not really knowing another new boss so well and fearing bad things in my head. But all is well and I think new boss likes me although I miss old boss as boss (even if I knew almost nothing about his non work life...very private person).
Alan had his first T-ball game today. Opening ceremonies were Saturday - and they went pretty quick. I found the names of the 4 teams in T-ball somewhat amusing however - they are:
L'Hereux Realty (local company)
White Castle
McDonalds
Dunkin Donuts
Of course, Alan is on the Realty company team. It just cracks me up that the other 3 teams are all sponsored by food companies! (The pizzera that Alan's old daycare ordered from is in another division, or Alan would have wanted to be on it!)
(I think the company is pronounced Le-Rue by the way)
As far as the game went - it was his first time and he did well, he got a very good hit at his first at bat and the coaches don't have a problem with him being lefty. I also saw him do a nice catch and throw toward first base in the last inning, so I think he's getting it. He did enjoy the ice cream cup the coach gave his team after the game :) I think his experience with soccer helped in dealing with the game, the coach and even the handshake after game, he was very well behaved. (He could have done t-ball last year, but I am glad maturity wise, he didn't). I know a lot of his team mates (and their parents) from either his old daycare, soccer, or classes. Alan of course, gets on 1st base, see his friend from after care there and says hi to him! (Alan is very social).
There was one boy who seemed to hit the ball very well (and far, not just because it wasn't caught) - he may be a good athlete. But all the kids get to bat and try different things in the field - and the coaches and parents were supportive (my husband and I will always cheer for kids we know, no matter what team they are on.) It got cool during the game (due to someone's schedule conflict - we had a 5PM start). I was glad Alan had on his athletic shirt he wore under his soccer jersey. But unlike soccer and the hassle of finding parking - it was nice to be able to walk to and from the game (it's less than 5 minutes from the condo!)
We have no practice this week, so I don't have to deal with how to get him to an afternoon practice when we both work yet. I'll take it as it comes - at some point if Alan keeps up with athletics, I'll have to make sure I find a fellow parent who can take him to the practice field and hopefully one of us can pick him up.
There are 3 birthday parties for Alan and us to attend in May. Amazingly enough it has worked out that there are no conflicts with dates and times with them! (Two of the 3 did involve people who knew each other - and the kids involved in those parties had birthdays near each other making us nervous). One will be a mini-golf party, another at build a bear and the third a backyard pizza party.
Alan still adores bakugan - almost obsessed with them. But it seems ANY time we take one out of the house, something happens. Saturday we took 3 bakugans, 1 case and 6 cards to a friends house. Somehow only 3 bakugans, 1 case and 4 cards came home, although Alan swears he gave them to me in the purse (I'm not sure I had all 6 myself). At least when he loved Thomas trains, they just stayed home!
Time to crash for a busy week!

Alan seems to like to play with the figures for fun as well as the game - they've taken up residence on our the living room coffee table it seems.
And for fun, stick the balls on your fridge - they pop open!
