  • Do you believe in Jesus? Nope.
  • Have you got your Christmas tree up?: Nope. I do have a 20.00 Charlie Brown tree I used to use, but it has been retired since I moved in with my husband in 1999.
  • What does it look like?: N/A
  • What is your favorite part of it?: N/A
  • Do you have an advent calendar?: No
  • Do you like the nativity story?: It's ok.
  • What are you expecting under the tree?: Actually not much (for Chanuka actually)
  • Who are you getting presents for?: Alan. Mark isn't material.
  • Did you believe in Santa when you were younger?: I guess so.
  • Did you leave him mince pies and sherry?: No. But I'd leave carrots for the reindeer. I know I did it past the age of believing, but it was a tradition.
  • Where are you going for Christmas?: Don't know. May see friends and/or a movie.
  • Who are you sharing it with?: Alan and Mark. Maybe friends later in the day.
  • Are you going to dress up?: Probably not unless I wear a holiday sweater/sweatshirt or socks.
  • Any Christmas parties?: Yes. 2 work related (one Alan gets to go to) and an open house last week at Mark's uncles.
  • Are you going to go to church?: No, not that I would any other day - not even synagogue!
  • What is your favorite Christmas movie?: Scrooged!
  • Who do you want to unwrap this year?: MP3 player. Bigger house :)
  • What have you bought for someone that you want?: I bought cat socks for a gift exchange. I'd say I'd want them, but I'd already bought them for me :) I also bought a Barbie doll for Toys for Tots - just so I could buy a girl toy for a change (and for a good cause)
  • Do you have a turkey for Christmas?: No. Probably Chinese food. But I do make cinnamon rolls/eggs/bacon for breakfast.
  • Do you watch the Queens Speech?: Nope - it probably isn't on in the US. (I'm guessing the person who created this is from the UK?)
  • Ever kissed anyone under mistletoe?: I guess.
  • Red or Green?: Green.
  • Have you Christmas-ified your bedroom?: No, but I will put a menorah in the living room :)

Like Ralphie and his family! I LOVE that movie. Have you seen it?

I've seen bits and pieces of it.

Don't think I've seen it all the way through though.

Actually it's Jewish "tradition" to have Chinese for Xmas as its usually all thats open. It also was semi-traditional to have Chinese on Sunday. My mother was observing this tradiation with her parents and brother on 12/7/41 in NY's Chinatown - Pearl Harbor Day. She told me the Chinese were celebrating us joining the war.

Probably because the Japanese had already been attacking the Chinese by that time.

During WWII my father was a navigator on Army Air Corps planes that were flying supplies over the Himalayas into China. (This is often called the China-Burma-India route.) I think they used to land in Shanghai.

maybe I'm not so weird after all!
here's an entry you might like.
I haven't finished reading it,
but it looks to be good for a chuckle
or snort or maybe it's just my
twisted sense of humor.
