So this is Christmas eve?
Dec. 24th, 2005 08:57 pmWell, it's 8:48 PM and I'm the only one awake drinking eggnog.
Alan fell asleep on the sofa - he had a very little nap visiting my SIL's today and Mark is asleep on our bed with MY computer playing Wacky Races. I think Alan and I have slight colds too. Our friend Dave came over - we were going to go see the lights on the Elvis house in Mahwah, but Mark started showing off the Todd Rundgren dvd's he "copied". I wasn't interested, I was tired but wanted to go out. Anyway, I ended up being dragged in because a speaker wasn't working - (I'm mummbling - STAY OFF MY COMPUTER, I'm getting you a dvd player..turns out a pin was bent from Mark sticking it the wrong place the other day - I had told him on the phone the wrong thing after first telling him I'LL FIX IT WHEN I GET HOME - I can't trouble shoot one the phone..anyway dave fixed the bent pin with some odd tools - including an earing back and tweezers.
Alan like his holiday gifts - a thomas take along roadhouse and some engines as well as the playskool bounce and roll thing. I'd brought along 1 extra engine since I knew the gift - and what really annoyed me is that I opened it at my SILs and somehow LOST the little blue Emily card - I got dragged off doing something - I thought I left it on the bed - I wonder if I can write the company for a replacement? (Alan really doesn't care, but I do).
We were also in Target this AM. I got some Take along thomases for tommorrow and a shirt and a thomas book for a last minute chanuka gift. And some playmobile pirates and bc builders that I thought were cute. I also thought I'd gotten a DVD burner for Mark for 40.00, but it was really 80.00, so we immediately returned it.
I did notice some of the Thomas Legos were 30% off already. I'll be back Monday morning to get cheap wrapping paper (I saw some cute striped paper that didn't even look xmasy in someones bag), stick on bows, maybe some gift tags and of the gifty things like car gadgets you can't get the rest of the year.
I'd love to put out my menorah and vinyl tablecloth but there's junk on the dining room table and Alan's sleeping on the couch.
So I'm here on Mark's PC drinking soy eggnog (my tradition). I think Alan's up...
