I thought it would be cold today. So I wore long sleeves. Seems warmer though.
Mark’s car didn’t start again this AM. So he called AAA and had it jumped (we decided if it didn’t work, to have it towed to Gulf which is right by the house.) It appears to be the Sears battery (unless his alternator is going…could be at 131K miles) – so he’s dealing with it by going there. It’s hard for him to take time off because he is a consultant and at his client 4 or 5 days a week but I guess today he’ll work from home.
I bet it’s all my fault his car isn’t working. I had it washed last weekend (and he didn’t really notice still. but he did notice my manicure/pedicure). (He doesn’t get them, he’s like I can do that for you, and someday I’ll let him).
I stopped at my local bagel shop this morning. They are going “fancy” – switching to New England Coffee and getting a cappachino machine! They usually have a TV on in there showing Good Morning America. I happened to catch Joel Siegel’s rave review of “Cars” – they showed quite a few clips and I was impressed with the detail of the animation (real scenery and real water spraying) – I’d only seen 2D animation so far. From a techie point of view, I bet it was a challenge to make the movie (I wish I could be a software tester for that kind of stuff!).
I also observed a flat bed truck with wooden sides carrying 6 large cardboard cartons full of watermelons driving past on the highway as I was on the bus. It said “Top Cat Watermelons” NWK (Newark), NJ. I was surprised the cartons were open – what if it hit a bump! (Try explaining watermelon damage to an insurance company!)
Pizza for lunch today on the company. Can’t complain.
