One of those days
Jun. 15th, 2006 10:02 amWoke up with a headache, which still hasn’t quite gone away. Alan had a messy diaper to clean this AM and I still had to put cream on him – plus he’d leaked on the couch. I just wish his #2’s would be firmer and later in the AM. Anyway I ran late especially since I had to change my pants, I’d managed to get diaper cream on them!
When I got to work, got e-mail from my husband that his workload has increased, so I may not be able to drop off my car tomorrow. It’s two little things – a stuck driver’s seatbelt and the A/C may need a charge, but I’d like them fixed before we go to Baltimore. And the plans I’d thought of for Father’s day to go hiking at Bushkill Falls will be a bust because it will be over 90 degrees. Knowing Mark, I suspect we’ll either go to an air-conditioned mall and eat Chinese buffet or use our pool.
I have to find a Hawaiian shirt in the next 2 months. The town family fun day in August has a Hawaiian theme this year (they sent a flyer home in Alan’s school papers). Mark has a shirt, Alan has a few from Gymboree, and I have none. And no, I’m not going to do the matching stuff from Gymboree – not worth it.
I have a ton of stuff to get at Target tonight. Hopefully if Alan comes with me, he’ll cooperate. I want one of those zips up swim vests on sale. I figure they’ll be helpful with our condo’s pool having a steep drop off from 1 to 3 feet past the roped off shallow section. I know a vest isn’t a life preserver or a substitute for supervision, but it gives me a little piece of mind.
